Problem

  • Inventory was tracked manually — stock discrepancies, spoilage, and over-ordering were constant problems.
  • No POS system meant sales were recorded on paper, making financial reporting slow and error-prone.
  • Recipe costing and production batch tracking were disconnected from inventory, causing inaccurate material deductions.
  • Demand forecasting relied on guesswork — the kitchen had no data-driven way to predict ingredient needs.
  • Supplier management was handled informally, leading to missed purchase orders and supply gaps.

Solution

  • Built a real-time inventory module with automated stock deductions on production and POS transactions.
  • Developed a full POS system with receipt printing, void workflows, and daily sales summaries.
  • Linked recipe costing directly to production batches — every batch automatically deducts exact ingredient quantities.
  • Implemented demand forecasting using historical sales data to project future ingredient needs.
  • Created a supplier management module with purchase order generation, delivery tracking, and reorder alerts.
